In 2015, Belarus welcomed 276,300 foreign tourists travelling with package groups, including 243,900 from Russia, 8,400 from other CIS states, and 24,000 from beyond the CIS
Last year, in Belarus, 539 establishments offered accommodation — including 338 hotels, 38 hotel complexes, 5 motels and 17 tourist-hotel complexes. Meanwhile, 475 sites offered spa and recuperation services — including 75 sanatoriums (seven for children), 12 child rehabilitation-recuperation resorts, two houses of recreation, two leisure resorts, 92 recuperation camps, 17 student sanatoriums, three health-and-recreation clinics and 15 health resorts.
The Ministry for Taxes and Duties tells us that 2,263 agro-ecotourism sites were registered by late 2015: 346 in the Brest Region, 605 in the Vitebsk Region, 196 in the Gomel Region, 303 in the Grodno Region, 597 in the Minsk Region and 216 in the Mogilev Region. Last year, foreign tourists stayed in Belarus an average of five days (against four in 2014).
