In accordance with a Presidential Decree, Dana Astra (a division of Dana Holdings) has been chosen to develop the Minsk-Mir project on the site of the former airport Minsk-1. The project provides for the construction of 3 million sq.m of residential, office and trade premises.

A wide selection of Belarusian projects is on display at the exposition, notes the Head of Property and Asset Management at Dana Holdings, Gary Burrows. However, the Dana Astra project is attracting great attention, proving that the high-profile expo is the perfect place to find foreign investors for the Belarusian market. “We’re here to attract partners into the project, showing others that the working climate in Belarus is mutually beneficial. Our company views Belarus as having huge investment potential and an excellent reputation for business, which is why we’re presenting Belarusian projects,” stresses Mr. Burrows.

Participants of the exposition have been informed about the forthcoming opening of the Dana Mall shopping centre in the Mayak Minska (Minsk Lighthouse) complex, near the National Library. It will be the largest shopping centre in Belarus, covering over 200,000 sq.m. “The Dana Mall project was presented in Cannes a year ago, receiving widespread positive feedback and catching the attention of many international brands. As a result, all floors of the mall have been rented out,” notes Mr. Burrows.

He believes that Mayak Minska and Minsk-Mir are, in many ways, image-building projects. “These are not just investment projects and not just business, but enhance the image of Belarus as a country open broadly to mutually beneficial international co-operation.”

Dana Holdings is an international investment and construction group of companies, operating in Belarus since 2006. It has three Belarusian divisions: Dana Astra, Zomex Investment, and Belinte Roba. Dana Holdings is the largest real estate developer in our country, known for constructing such multifunctional complexes as Mayak Minska, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. The total area of these development projects, including the Minsk-Mir project, exceeds 5 million sq.m.
