Israel plans to introduce a visa-free regime for citizens of Belarus with biometric passports

The draft of the Belarus-Israel agreement on visa-free trips has already been co-ordinated at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Israel, and transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country. It also should pass through corresponding procedures in parliament. “I hope that it is a matter of a couple of months,” said Faina Kirschenbaum, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Israel, during her visit to Minsk.

She noted that Belarus-Israel relations had developed well, including that the Belarusian heads of various departments of Israel, for example of the Ministry of Agriculture, had visited Belarus lately. The visit of the Minister of Internal Security of Israel is already planned. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Israel also expressed confidence that the level of economic interaction of two countries will increase.

In Minsk, they held a meeting between Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Igor Shunevich and Faina Kirschenbaum, in which they discussed the questions of interaction in the struggle against human trafficking and illegal migration.
