Vladimir Samsonov and Victoria Pavlovich to represent Belarus at the Olympic table tennis tournament in Rio
Belarusian table tennis masters were given the right to perform at the 2016 Olympiad due to their high place in the world rankings. Vladimir Samsonov is currently ranked 5th in the male rankings while Victoria Pavlovich occupies 19th place amongst the women. The forthcoming Olympic Games will be the sixth in a row for Vladimir Samsonov, who celebrated his 40th birthday on April 17th. In the career of Victoria Pavlovich, 38, the Olympiad in Rio will be the fifth in a row. At the Olympic table tennis tournament to be held from August 6th-16th, four sets of matches will be played: two for women and two for men (in singles and team events).
