The Head of the EU Delegation to Belarus, Andrea Wiktorin, also attended, as did members of the European External Action Service and the EU Office in Belarus. Hosted by the Justice Ministry, they also exchanged opinions on human rights and other topical issues in the field of justice.

Mr. Lambrinidis notes that the European Union sees potential for Belarus to improve its registration laws governing non-profit organisations. Mr. Slizhevsky stresses that Belarus and the EU need to outline mutually beneficial and promising areas of joint work and is convinced that reforms to the Belarusian justice system will help protect human rights.
