Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Poland shows positive development
Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Poland shows positive development. This was stated during the meeting of Pavel Latushko, Ambassador of Belarus to Poland, with Jusef Lohovsky, chairman at Belarus-Poland Chamber of trade and economy.

According to results of eight months of year, commodity turnover between Belarus and Poland increased by 27% as compared to same period of 2004 and made $913.5 million. Belarusian export increased by same 27% and was $551.5 m; import of Polish goods into Belarus rose as well.

Pavel Latushko and Jusef Lohovsky stated that this trend indicates mutually beneficial development of bilateral economical connections and cooperation between market participants of Belarus and Poland.

During the meeting Ambassador and chairman have discussed a number of other problems relating to economical cooperation. In particular, they considered problems of arranging seminar “Dobrososedstvo” with participation of business actors from Belarus and Poland, and a seminar on tourism development, which involves utilization of newly open border crossing points in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and Augustowsky canal.
