Belarus’ Anastasia Nikiforova, 14, was named teen Miss Universe 2006
at a beauty pageant for children under 15, held in Thessaloniki.
The pageant for children from five to 15 had three elimination rounds and featured representatives of 20 countries of the world. The jury included top-level experts in acting technique and world-famous performers, models and designers.
The first round took place in Georgia this May, and Anastasia made it into the top five. The finals saw girls from 10 countries, including Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Bulgaria, Brazil, South Africa, etc.
The 14-year-old from Belarus presented the Belarusian national and historical costumes, showed her elegance and grace, as well as the ability to perform on stage. She also did wonderful impressions of film and music stars Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin.
