The newly-erected building will become the eighth hostel in the Student Village which is now home to over 7,000 young people. This will be the second home for more than a thousand Belarusian and Chinese students of the Belarusian National Technical University.
The new hostel will be built thanks to technical and economic assistance from China. The Ambassador underlined that this is a result of the agreements between the governments of our two states, “At present, our relations are at the best level in their history. In our collaboration with Belarus we’re guided by the principles of mutual respect, admiration, assistance and equality. The new hostel is one more bridge to mutual understanding and friendship between our nations.”
According to Ms. Kochanova, at present, around 2,000 Chinese citizens are studying at Belarusian universities and we have three Confucius Institutes and five classes. The joint residence between Belarusian and Chinese youth will give an additional impetus to good neighbourly relations between our countries.
