Stakes made or utilisation fee increased

From now on, the import of cars from Eurasian Economic Union partner states is more expensive: in line with a governmental decree, utilisation fees have risen 1.65 times for companies and 8.25 times for individuals, while stakes are no longer pegged to Russian currency but calculated in Belarusian Roubles

Citizens will need to pay Br4,950,000 for importing a car no older than three years for their personal use from the Eurasian Economic Union; the engine size does not matter. Br7,425,000 is to be paid for a car older than three years. The utilisation fee has risen for importing passenger cars, special vehicles, lorries and heavy duty trucks — varying from Br8,514,000 to Br2,970,000,000.

The document also brings categories of transport vehicles used in Belarus in compliance with the Custom Union’s technical regulation: ‘On the Security of Wheeled Transport Vehicles’. Amendments have also been introduced to the list of documents confirming payment of the utilisation fee or waiving it.

The governmental decree is already operational.
