In a world where technology plays an integral part of most people’s day-to-day lives the world of sport is making sure it’s not left behind

Smart Court has been developed by Israeli firm Playsight and is a real-time, after-action review system for any ball sports. It is designed to help players and coaches with complete debriefing solutions, auto stats, biomechanical analysis and 3D tactical game management.

Chen Shachar, the Chief Executive of PlaySight, said, ‘‘We installed six cameras like this one which record and analyse in real time the whole movement and activity of the players, so everything that you do during a match or practice is being recorded, analysed and immediately uploaded to your personal profile at PlaySight.com where you can share, compare and take your performance online.”

The company boasts many top tennis personalities among its investors, including world number one Novak Djokovic.

Smart Court, which also acts like Hawk-Eye in judging line calls, is not just for the pros as some 5,000 courts in clubs across the US and Europe are expected to be fitted with it in the next few years.
