Belarusian swimmers win 17 medals at the Slovenia Open Championship

Belarusians Svetlana Khokhlova (50 metre butterfly, 50 metre crawl, 50 metre breaststroke, 100 metre backstroke), Pavel Sankovich (100 metre butterfly, 50 metre butterfly, 200 metre medley), Victor Staselovich (50 metre backstroke) and Andrey Dobritsa (100 metre backstroke) stepped onto the top level of the podium.

Andrey Dobritsa (2nd — 50 metre backstroke; 2nd — 200 metre backstroke), Pavel Sankovich (2nd — 100 metre backstroke), Svetlana Khokhlova (2nd — 50 metre backstroke), Vladimir Zhigarev (2nd — 400 metre medley), Alexandra Kovaleva (2nd — 100 metre backstroke; 3rd — 50 metre backstroke) and Victor Staselovich (3rd — 100 metre backstroke) also became prize-winners at the championship.

This international event became one of the last stages of preparation for the Belarus national swimming team for the 2014 European Championship that will be held in Berlin soon.
