Belarusians earn nine awards at the final stage of Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, hosted by Russia’s Kazan

The only gold medal was earned by the team which became best in group exercises with balls and ribbons. Moreover, the Belarusian squad, comprising Anna Dudenkova, Maria Kotyak, Valeria Pishchelina, Arina Tsitsilina, Ksenia Cheldyshkina and Maria Kadobina, won silver in exercises with clubs, and in the all-round event.

In individual disciplines, the Belarusian gymnasts claimed six awards, five of which were earned by Melitina Stanyuta. The leader of the Belarusian national team became second in two events — clubs and ribbon — and was third in ball, hoop and in the all-round event. Two bronze medals were claimed by Yekaterina Galkina in exercises with the ribbon and with clubs. She was also twice close to the top three, finishing 4th in exercises with the ball and in the all-round.

After the season, which included nine World Cup stages, first place is occupied by the Russian, Yana Kudryavtseva, followed by Margarita Mamun of Russia and Melitina Stanyuta. This season, the Belarusian squad was ranked 8th.
