Some alleys are up for a major renovation, the expositions representing each region of Belarus will be enhanced. Grodno Region has become the first "isle" on the garden map in 2004. The representatives of the region and botanists chose an orchard as a region representative. Which region will be mapped next wholly depends on the initiative of its administration.
According to Ivan Volodko, deputy director for science of Central Botanical Garden, the park will be open for visitors anytime over a year as from 2008. The exposition greenhouse is to be constructed by that time and is expected to house 2.000 kinds and varieties of heat-loving exotic plants. Its area of 2.000 square metres is divided into three sectors.
