Belarus’ national football team to play friendly match against Northern Ireland

Such meetings enable footballers to gain experience, while helping coaches determine training priorities.

The match is scheduled for May 27th in Belfast. The national squad of Northern Ireland has qualified for the finals of the 2016 European Championship, occupying first place in its selection group. At present, the Belarusian team is ranked 29th by FIFA. This will be the first match between these national squads.

Alexander Khatskevich’s trainees will begin a cycle of friendly matches on March 25th, playing first Armenia, and then Montenegro on March 29th.
