The schemes take into account the peculiarities of every region included in the rational models of land organisation, determining major planning axes and population centres which shape the internal structure of regions. The document also specifies the priorities for socio-economic development of certain areas, alongside engineering and transport infrastructure. The plan also envisages the creation of a system of especially protected natural sites of national and regional importance and the development of tourism.

The Presidential Press Service explained that the efforts to invigorate satellite towns will promote the comprehensive development of central cities with the help of their social infrastructure, improve the investment environment in Minsk and regional centres by expanding the range of available investment areas, and provide access to personnel resources, as well as to transport and engineering infrastructure.
