Belarusian taekwondo athlete Arman-Marshall Silla earns silver at G2 WTF President’s Cup international tournament, held in German Bonn

Arman-Marshall Silla confidently defeated his rivals from Turkey and Russia at the preliminary stage in the over 87kg category. In the semi-finals one of the tournament’s favourites, Iran’s Sajjad Mardani, refused from the fight because of the injury and in the decisive match for the first place the Belarusian sportsman lost to British Mahama Cho — 3:5.

This season, Arman-Marshall Silla has already faced the British representative in the finals of the Olympic qualifying tournament in Istanbul and lost. However, this didn’t prevent the Belarusian to receive a ticket to Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

At the G2 President’s Cup taekwondo tournament in Bonn several more representatives of the Belarusian national team performed, with Yegor Dunaev and Gleb Krasavtsev occupying the highest place — both ranked fifth in the final standings.
