Melitina Stanyuta claims 4 medals at Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix Series in Bucharest

Melitina has won the individual all-round competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix Series in Bucharest. After performing four types of the programme (ball, hoop, ribbon and clubs) Stanyuta earned the highest amount of points among the participants — 74,150. Russian Arina Averina finished second while bronze went to Arina’s sister, Dina Averina. Another Belarusian grace, Yekaterina Galkina, came fifth in the all-round event.

In the finals of definite exercises Melitina Stanyuta entered the highest step of the medals podium thrice: in exercises with the hoop, ball and ribbon. Only the performance with the clubs brought the leader of the Belarusian national team fourth place.

Belarusian gymnasts have also won gold in group exercises. During the World Cup stages in Tashkent our graces were best in their composition with six clubs and two hoops while silver went to Spaniards and bronze was claimed by the Russians. The same teams were also top prize winners in the exercise with five ribbons while Belarusians claimed silver.

The next stage of the World Cup will be held from May 20th-22nd at Falcon Club Sports and Entertainment Complex in Minsk.
