Belarus intends to move further towards completion of the project to create a Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park

At the meeting of Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and the First Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Matyushevsky with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus, H.E. Mr. Cui Qiming, it was noted that the creation of the Park is symbolic of bilateral co-operation. Belarus expressed its interest in considerably accelerating completion of the project, particularly regarding the creation of its internal infrastructure and the attraction of residents to the Park. Belarus considers that the basic structures should be in place by the end of 2015. The government has already made a number of decisions on the financing of the project and approved the building of external utility lines.

The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park will be a bespoke area with all the necessary requirements and equipment for running an efficient business. The foundation stone ceremony took place on June 19th, 2014. The concept of the Park provides for the creation of convenient infrastructure for the development of business, essential tax relief for the project participants for a significant period, and also provision of complex services to residents of the Park. Among the priorities now is the development of fine chemicals, biomedicine, the electronics industry, and engineering.

The Park is located in the Smolevichi District 25 km from Minsk in the immediate vicinity of the international airport, railway lines and close to the transnational highway between Berlin and Moscow. There are plans to include industrial and residential zones as well as office and shopping malls, financial and research centres.
