“Enterprises from Belarus and Chuvashia have long been connected within a single chain but it’s time now to expand into new areas, rather than being content with our current level,” underlined Mr. Lukashenko, addressing Mikhail Ignatiev. He is keen to promote collaboration with Cheboksary, the capital of the Republic of Chuvashia, across the spheres of passenger transport, agriculture, construction, and road and automobile machinery. Moreover, new schemes of purchase are being set up to entice sales.

Belarus is ready also to share its expertise, such as in beneficial to customers. Meanwhile, interaction is strong not only in seed raising, the selection of agricultural crops, and animal breeding. All Belarusian enterprises are open to suggestions of liaison from potential partners, and welcome business proposals.

Mr. Ignatiev accentuated his perception of Belarus as a reliable and beneficial partner and noted that, over the last three years, mutual trade turnover between our two territories has increased 2.5-fold, worth almost $85m. Of course, more is always possible and ambitions may well be satisfied with extra effort.
