Presentation-in-French-Tourcoing.jpgThe Embassy of Belarus to France has presented opportunities for trade, economic and investment co-operation, inviting enterprises from across the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region. Lille and Tourcoing hosted the events, with support from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the administrations of these towns.

More than 60 representatives of business circles took part, hearing reports from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France, H.E. Pavel Latushko, and the Counsellor of the Embassy, Vladimir Malevich. They detailed the export and investment potential of Belarus, alongside prospects for developing co-operation between enterprises. The first Belarusian-French Business Forum is to be hosted by Minsk this February.

Mr. Latushko spoke with the First Vice-Mayor of Tourcoing town, Didier Droart, and members of the Municipal Council, discussing opportunities for trade, economic and humanitarian co-operation between Belarusian enterprises and institutions and those of the French town. An agreement was signed to establish twin-city relations between the Partizansky District of Minsk and Tourcoing town, as well as the organisation of a business trip by a French delegation to the Belarusian capital.
