Belarus’ state-owned fixed-line monopoly Beltelecom plans to increase the number of broadband Internet access ports by 2010. In most of Belarus’ districts it is planned to establish data transfer centers connected with region centers at 100–200 Mbps. By 2010 the average cost of ADSL access will not exceed U.S. $15, Beltelecom specialists claim.
