Online-project provides great opportunities for students

Electronic guide for first year students launches at Belarusian State University

The BSU’s Media Centre has developed the online-project. The electronic guide targets first-year students, showing how to find a hostel place, reduce educational fees and feed yourself affordably. Students can also find out about youth organisations and bodies of student self-governance, as well as creative and sports clubs operating in the university. “At present, opportunities for international exchange are of great importance. The guide helps you to make your application for an internship or an educational project abroad,” comments the university’s press service.

The website (http://info.bsu.by/.) gives social advice to students, including information on receiving a pass to a swimming pool or a gym and how to use the university’s spa. Electronic data is provided through infographics and video.

According to the Head of the BSU’s Media Centre, Pavel Soloviev, it’s vital for first-year students to socially adapt as soon as possible. The website’s major task is to help ‘novices’ find their feet in this way. Students should be aware of the many opportunities provided by the BSU, to take full advantage.
