Sabre fencer Alexander Buikevich wins Olympic ticket according to International Fencing Federation (FIE) rating
Buikevich finished 18th at the Grand Prix in Seoul, held on March 25th, enabling him to qualify for the Olympiad. Before this, the Belarusian successfully performed at the World Cup stage in Warsaw, where he claimed bronze. At present, this is the only ticket to the Olympic Games for Belarusian sabre fencers.
Alexander Buikevich, ranked 15th, is a 2008 European champion, a bronze medallist of the 2012 European Championship individual tournament, and a silver medallist of the 2011 World Championship in team exercises.
