The European center of agro- and ecotourism together with Belarusian public association “Recreation in the country” are going to organize an international solidarity bicycle round through the territory of the country for the first time. The chairman of the board of the public association “Agro-and Ecotourism” Valeria Klitsounova has informed about the idea.According to what she has said, the representative office of the European center of Agro- and Ecotourism (ECEAT) in Holland in cooperation with the representative office of the ECEAT in Belarus have organized this round as a way of re-approachement of Western Europe to Belarus. The primary goals of the project are the experience exchange on the preservation of the environment, acquaintance with Belarusian flora and fauna, opening of new perspective territories for tourism and routes for the so-called ecopassages. The distance of travel will make about 800 km, the duration — 30 days. The first part of the round will start in the city of Belovezha (Poland) on August 15.
According to Valeria Klitsounova, the volunteers, having stated in Belovezha which borders on Belarus in the northwest, will cross the most beautiful secret places of Belarus. During the non-racing days the participants will meet local residents of remote places. Thus, foreign visitors can learn more about original culture and traditions of Belarusian village.
The planned number of the participants of the project is about 20 people: 10 volunteers from Belarus and other European countries. The participants of the travel are not supposed to be born athletes, however, it is necessary to be fit, noted the interlocutress.
