In Grodno, they have introduced a new technology of road covering from old asphalt
In Grodno, for the first time in Belarus, they have set up production of reclaimed bitumen concrete mixes, according to innovational technology of warm regeneration of ‘ANT’ bituminous concrete. Such mixes are used for paving of automobile roads, city streets and squares.
‘ANT’ technology was created by a Russian scientific production company. The main peculiarity of the technology is the use of secondary resources, because it processes old, crushed asphalt. The technology allows the production of a new roadway covering from granular asphalt — asphalt crumbs that are used currently only for dumping of roadsides and gravel roadway covering. The solution of the Russian scientists radically differs from other secondary methods using of such raw materials, which exist worldwide. It differs also through the fact that the specific weight of asphalt crumb in the mass of ready mix can be up to 100 percent. It’s also possible to set up production of such ‘ANT’ mix technology at any existing asphalt concrete plants.
