Last year some 16 aurochs and 70 deers were resettled, and this year 170 deers will get new homes in the Pripyatsky, Narochansky and Berezinsky reserves.
Deer are caught near feeding areas, where traps with fodder are set. Those who were caught are contained in special quarantine cages.
The Belovezhskaya Puscha reserve has one of the largest populations of hoofed animals, and can easily disperse the rare animals.
