Microsoft offers educational partnership with Belarusian universities
By Svetlana Sokolova

“We’re inviting Belarusian higher educational establishments to open an IT-Academy on their premises,” notes Irina Maximova, the Head of the Microsoft Representative Office in Belarus. “Universities can acquire a range of instruments to teach students, as well as the right to Microsoft licenses on finishing the course. To launch the project, an educational establishment needs to use our company’s licensed products.”

The Academy will be able to accept university students, as well as those involved in commercial projects. “Our syllabus includes computer literacy courses, working with operational systems and the Internet and a package for developers,” notes Ms. Maximova.

Microsoft is intent on making the latest technologies available as part of the education process, encouraging professors and students to use applications at home.

According to Ms. Maximova, the company has special offers for academic institutions, including the Education Ministry, universities, schools, teachers, university students and schoolchildren.
