Assembly of MAZ cargo machinery planned for Argentina

Businessmen from the Buenos Aires Province expressed interest in the project during an exhibition performance by MAZ-SPORTauvto team in the city, on May 25th. Representatives of the plant then met with potential investors and city authorities, and examined a possible platform for organising assembly.

“All now depends on the Argentinians, who should arrive in Minsk for a return visit to sign all necessary documents,” notes the curator of MAZ-SPORTauto, the Deputy Commercial Director of MAZ JSC, Dmitry Korotkevich. Argentinian investors will carry out marketing research and decide the scale of assembly and any modifications needed for the local market.

MAZ-SPORTauto team gave a demonstration on May 25th, at the request of the administration of the municipality, including ‘training laps’ by racing trucks and opportunities for public driving of sports cars.

Belarusian trucks are already assembled in South America’s Venezuela, where a single shift daily can produce up to 5,000 cars a year. Creating assembly plants in Argentina allows the plant to expand its geography of delivery for cargo machinery across the region.
