Museums from around the country displayed their exhibitions and new projects in a major exposition at the forum, as well as presenting contemporary interactive and digital technology. It’s no accident that the forum’s motto was chosen as ‘Destroying Stereotypes and Overcoming Conservatism’. “In recent years, the museums of Belarus have managed to make great progress in their development by modernising their exhibitions and changing the psychology of their employees, applying modern technology and implementing creative projects has also brought more interaction between the museum and visitors, thus adding to financial efficiency at the same time. Today, these are museums that earn a major share of extra-budgetary funds,” notes Mr. Chernik.
The business programme of the forum was given special attention and included lectures, discussions, training and master classes (featuring famous professionals in the sphere of museum studies and museum activity). The forum offered a unique opportunity for Belarusian museum staff to conduct a range of professional meetings and to share experiences. There was a special technical venue where companies, working in the sphere of museum industries, presented their products. Mogilev residents also prepared a large-scale excursion and concert programme for the guests of the forum.
Moreover, there was an award for the best museum with best museum employees and teams awarded with special prizes.
