Palestinian poetry presented at the Minsk House of Friendship at an evening organised by the Belarus-Palestine Society

The Chair of the Belarusian Society of Friendship and Cultural Ties with Foreign Countries, Nina Ivanova, noted that the event is one of the first to be organised by the recently set up Belarus-Palestine society.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Belarus, H.E. Mr. Khalid Arikat, underlined that such events help Belarusian people learn more about Palestinian traditions, architectural sites, culture, poets and writers. The participants in the cultural event recited poems by such Palestinian poets as Mahmoud Darwish and Abu Salma while enjoying Palestinian folk dances performed by students of the Shafran dance school. A video presentation about the history and culture of Palestine was also held.
