The Belarusian diaspora joined in creating entertainment for Kupalie by dressing in Belarusian national costume and ‘vyshivanka’ shirts, and singing with Slavyanskaya Dusha (Slavonic Soul) folk band, headed by musician and performer Alexander Merkul. Traditional customs were followed, and a master class held on weaving of wreaths of field flowers.
Guests were offered national Belarusian dishes cooked by Avignon restaurant, from Minsk’s Europe Hotel.
