Mr. Safina notes, “I’ve liaised with Victor Babarikin many times. He and his band stand out for their high professionalism.” The Italian tenor has performed in Belarus, accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra, only twice but has regularly liaised with conductor Babarikin abroad, including during his tours of Russia and Azerbaijan. They have worked together more than 20 times, enjoying a ‘long collaboration’.

During his current solo concert, hosted by the Palace of the Republic, the performer was again accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra, singing his best-loved songs from albums over the decades, and fragments from famous operas, as well as unexpected versions of world hits.

Alessandro Safina began his career as a classical opera singer. In 1989, he won first prize in the Katia Ricciarelli International Singing Competition. He has sung in such operas as La Bohème, The Barber of Seville, I Capuleti E I Montecchi, and Eugene Onegin.

Since 1990, he has been expanding his creativity, experimenting with pop and rock music, with international success. His records have been released in over 30 countries, to acclaim in Europe and Asia, and North and South America. He now boasts five albums.
