President of Belarus makes decision to re-appoint Prime Minister, his deputies and the cabinet of ministers

The Government will be working in its previous composition, with Alexander Lukashenko listening to the assessments of work of each minister.

As Mr. Lukashenko wished to show people with whom he planned to work, the Government was formed prior to the Presidential elections. He noted, “We’re doing this for the second time in our history, enabling people to see who will be working in the Government if a particular president is elected. Nevertheless, we’ve agreed that, after some time, six months or slightly longer, we’ll assess the efficiency of the new Government. Moreover, those working in the Government will have time to decide whether or not they are content. We now have a properly functioning economic headquarters, with only legal formalities remaining.”

The President signed a corresponding decree, followed by the approval of the candidature of the Prime Minister by House of Representatives deputies.
