The meeting between Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and UAE Minister of the Economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori tackled the issue of how to activate trade and promote economic and investment co-operation. The discussions took into account the agreements reached during the second session of the joint co-operation commission between the Government of Belarus and the UAE. In particular, the parties stressed their interest in developing interaction in traditional sectors such as industry and agriculture, as well as in a number of promising areas in IT.
Special focus was placed on joint investment projects submitted previously to the UAE for consideration.
The parties also shared opinions on the prospects for co-operation in the fields of banking and aviation, alongside ways for further visa liberalisation.
