The length of shopping stalls during regional Dazhynki festival in Pinsk exceeds 3km
Shopping stalls from 240 pavilions and tents will be located on the seven city streets, adjacent to the central square. The total square of trade exposition at Dazhynki will amount to approximately 12,000 square metres. 108 organisations of trade, public catering and utility services, as well as industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs of the region, will take part in organisation of trade services of guests and participants of Dazhynki.Each trade corner will be decorated in the spirit of the holiday and national traditions — different from other trade corners. The largest trade ‘town’ (both in square and the number of entrants) will be organised by the hosts of the event. The exhibitors include Pinsk Meat Packing Plant, the Bread Baking Plant, the Arts Factory, Pinskdrev Holding Company, and other manufacturers. More than half of the participants are trade and public catering organisations.
Oblpotrebsoyuz (the regional consumers’ association) plans to organise the work of travelling seasonal cafes, able to seat 10,000 people. Moreover, four beer bars will be operating, offering dishes of Belarusian, Ukrainian, Russian and German cuisine. Many dishes will be cooked in the public catering sites directly in full view of the buyers. The enterprises of the consumer co-operation will try to please, while also surprising the guests and participants of the harvest holiday with the diversity of goods of their own produce.
Trade centres of eight district consumer societies will offer a wide range of dishes from potatoes, vegetables, fish and meat, alongside flour and confectionary goods with various fillings. Those celebrating their birthday on that day will be offered bonuses in the form of discounts and memorable souvenirs. Buyers will be able to take part in all-prize lotteries, trade fairs and produce tasting.
Produce tasting will be conducted by all enterprises, which take part in the festival — manufacturers of food goods. Moreover, almost all trade enterprises plan various actions with prizes and gifts, contests, sales and discounts, as well as entertainment and concert programmes.
As far as the city’s central square is concerned, it will be given to the disposal of artistes and spectators. The major holiday stage will be located here, which will host the honouring of the best grain growers of the region.
