Security Service of the President of Belarus celebrates 20th anniversary since its establishment

“One of the most serious threats confronted by the Security Service is the spread of terrorism, which recognises no geographical borders, political systems or moral norms,” notes Alexander Lukashenko during the event, marking the 20th anniversary of the Security Service of the Belarusian President. He added that in ‘pursuing the destruction of individual officials, terrorists do not shun organising and carrying out their actions in crowded public places, claiming dozens or hundreds of human lives’.

Our modern world is ever moving forward, with new technologies offering innovative opportunities not only for the good but for aggressive destruction by certain organisations.

The President of Belarus asserts that close attention should be given to offering effective operational-technical support and protection, seeking out explosives, and illegal monitoring devices. Those working for the security services should receive regular training, to remain fully prepared for contemporary challenges. Mr. Lukashenko believes their success can be measured in the cases in which they manage to prevent crime or tragedy.

He emphasises that security employees must have a thorough understanding of the real state of affairs, so that they can act effectively and promptly, foreseeing events and consequences.
Praising the work of the Security Service over the past 20 years, Alexander Lukashenko noted that all its divisions have fulfilled their tasks.
