The committee also explained the order of nomination of works for the reception of awards. Thus, awards are given for works of literature and the arts, bringing great contribution to the strengthening of relations of brotherhood, friendship and widespread co-operation between the countries of the Union State. The authors of such works are citizens of Belarus and Russia.Nomination of works is carried out by creative unions, bodies of state administration, scientific organisations, establishments, organisations and enterprises in the sphere of culture and art, the establishments providing reception of higher education, editorial offices of mass media, organisations and enterprises which conduct publishing activity and public associations. The organisation can nominate simultaneously works of only one author or composite authors.
The nominated works should be in the field of literature, philology and art history and should be nominated only after their publication in the press; works in the field of musical, theatrical, art, monumental, choreographic, variety, circus and audio-visual art and design — after their display at concerts, exhibitions, theatres, cinemas and radio and television; works in the field of architecture — after their commissioning. It is possible to nominate works promulgated not later than till March 1st of this year.
From the Belarusian side, the reception of documents will be carried out by the Ministry of Culture, while from Russian side, by the Department of International Co-operation of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
