Nesvizh Castle invites tourists for Christmas holidays

Guests of the former princely residence were able to plunge into the atmosphere of the late-19th century over the Christmas holidays, meeting Antoni Wilhelm Radziwill and his wife Maria Dorota de Castellane Radziwill — the foundress of Nesvizh parks. A wonderful musical programme was planned and the theatre hall had a few surprises in store.

This year celebrates 175 years from the date of birth of Maria Dorota de Castellane Radziwill, so many activities are scheduled in connection with this date, including the traditional Night of Museums and a further 14 exhibitions. The architectural complex of the former residence of the Radziwill family, in Nesvizh, is among Belarus’ foremost attractions, included on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The historical monument is interesting not only for its above-ground constructions, but for those which are underground, including its vaults. Since early 2014, the complex has welcomed over 400,000 tourists.
