Turkish and Belarusian transport workers co-ordinate final quota on automobile freight traffic for the current year

traffic.pngThe sides exchanged statistical data about bilateral trade and economic co-operation and automobile freight traffic between Belarus and Turkey. They noted a positive tendency of the increase in volumes of commodity turnover and transportation of goods by road between the countries in 2013.

The participants of the meeting agreed that, in case of any need to increase the number of permits during a year, this request will be promptly examined and the preliminary quota of permits for 2015 was organised.

The Belarusian side made a suggestion about a reduction of types of permit on transport, reducing them to two types: bilateral/transit permits and permits to/from the third countries, as well as about the use of bilateral/transit permits on transport in case of entry of empty vehicles and a return journey with freight.

During negotiations they agreed on the continuation of bilateral co-operation for an increase in the amount of passenger traffic and the exchange of permits on nonscheduled passenger traffic. The sides also exchanged information on issues connected with the conducting of international automobile traffic between two countries.
