Tatiana Sharakova placed third in the overall rankings of the Track Cycling World Cup

The Belarusian racer came third in the omnium event, following the results of the World Cup in three stages. The Dutch cyclist, Kristen Wild, tops the ranking with second place going to the British athlete, Laura Trott.

The World Cup rounds were held in Colombia’s Cali (October 30th — November 1st, 2015), New Zealand’s Cambridge (December 4th-6th, 2015) and Hong Kong (January 15th-17th, 2016).

During the final round Tatiana Sharakova was placed fifth in the omnium. Other Belarusian sportsmen were also performing: Marina Shmaenkova won the scratch and Inna Savenko was fourth in the points race event — which were held outside the World Cup schedule.

Our quartet of riders failed to reach the finals in the women’s team pursuit: The Belarusians women were finally placed in 10th position in the World Cup overall ranking.
