Dinamo Minsk announces extension of defender Nick Bailen’s contract — for coming three years

Commenting on his extended contract with the ‘bisons’, Nick Bailen notes that he likes the city and the club. He tells us, “We have a wonderful team and feel confident this season. I think this is a good decision — for myself and for the club. I now need to continue playing well, to justify the confidence placed in me: I’m pleased and slightly nervous.”

Nick Bailen admits that he’d be honoured to play for the national ice-hockey squad, saying “If I receive an invitation, I’ll respond eagerly. If I’m not a good match, there are plenty of other hockey players. However, I do hope that I’ll have the chance to play with the national team of Belarus.”

American defender Nick Bailen has just completed his first season with Dinamo Minsk, having signed a one year contract. He is currently their sixth placed scorer, having earned 7 (3+4) shooter points — with 16 minutes of penalty time — across 13 2014/15 KHL Championship matches.
