Half-back of the national football team and London-based Arsenal Alexander Gleb was named the best football player of 2005 in Belarus
According to a traditional poll conducted by Pressball newspaper, Gleb is ahead of half-back of Samara-based Krylya Sovetov Denis Kovba, who took the second place, and Italian Sampdoria’s forward Vitali Kutuzov, who came third. All in all, the newspaper polled 303 people: specialists, coaches, players, football reporters.
