Frantsisk Skorina orders for Helen Clark and Cihan Sultanoglu

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has awarded Helen Clark and Cihan Sultanoglu the Frantsisk Skorina Order
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has awarded Helen Clark, the UN Deputy Secretary General and Administrator of the UNDP, and Cihan Sultanoglu, the Assistant General Secretary of the United Nations, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS of the United Nations Development Programme, the Frantsisk Skorina Order. A corresponding decree has been signed by the Head of State.



Ms. Clark and Ms. Sultanoglu receive the award for their significant personal contribution to the development of co-operation between the Republic of Belarus and the UN, in conducting comprehensive rehabilitation and ensuring sustainable development of the regions affected by the Chernobyl nuclear power station catastrophe.
