Brussels hosts third round of consultations on modernisation issues, between Belarus and the EU, with the Belarusian delegation headed by the Deputy Foreing Minister, Yelena Kupchina

Prospects for co-operation in the spheres of transport and logistics, energy and the preservation of the environment came under negotiation, including questions of how best to manage water resources, waste recycling, biological diversity, improved radiological control, the energy and transport systems of Belarus, and alternative energy sources. Belarus also asked about its membership of thematic mechanisms and EU programmes, aiming to take full advantage of interaction between the Government of Belarus and the European Union, through the most appropriate avenues.
