Fiberglass used to repair Minsk roads

A new technology of Slurry Seal — to maintain road coverage in perfect condition — has now been mastered in Minsk. “This technology envisages the production of protective layers with use of fiberglass and is truly unique since it can be applied for road repair and as a preventive measure,” the General Director of Gorremavtodor State Production Association, Denis Glinsky, explains.

The novelty is a result of joint work by specialists of Gorremavtodor, the Belarusian National Technical University and China. The use of Slurry Seal will make it possible to increase the operational life of asphalt concrete coatings and optimise budget spending on road repairs.

This year, the new technology has already improved the technical and operational quality of the road surface in several Minsk streets.
