25 collections were awarded at the event, with the best photo and catwalk models of Belarus chosen. The ‘Miss Model’ title went to Yekaterina Shakh while Yevgeny Kruglyakov was named ‘Mister Model’ and Pavel Medvedev was the super photographer of Belarus this year.

The President of the Russian Silhouette Charity Foundation, Tatiana Mikhalkova, chose three collections to represent Belarus at Moscow’s Russian Silhouette finals in September 2011: Irina Petrova’s ‘Men’s’ collection, Maria Boyarovskaya’s ‘Pomukkale’ and Irina Tereshchuk’s ‘Without Panic’.

Berlin’s Lette-Verein Fashion School has invited designers Darya Kucheiko and Tatiana Tur for internships, while Irina Tereshchuk is invited to co-operate with two educational establishments: the University of Wales and Vilnius Academy of Arts.

After receiving awards, designers from Vilnius, Berlin, Milan, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Wales, Riga and Aveiro demonstrated their collections. The creativity of Belarusian designers was evident, with the Belarusian State University’s Centre of Youth Fashion project — Belarusian Fashion Names — sending 11 pret-a-porter collections down the runway. Young designers Olga Borodey, Maria Boyarovskaya, Yekaterina Burak, Leor Gorfman, Anna Dragotsennaya, Yulia Latushkina, Natalia Lyakhovets, Yavazhina Miklashevich, Yekaterina Safonova and Apti Eziev gave a worthy show.
