On November 10th, Belarusian State Dance Ensemble presents Land under White Wings in Moscow

The Tchaikovsky Concert Hall hosted the event, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the oldest professional choreographic group. For more than a quarter of a century, People’s Artist of Belarus, Professor Valentin Dudkevich has been the art director of the ensemble, helping promote Belarusian folk dance. It is one of the richest aspects of national culture, although Mr. Dudkevich also strives to bring his own interpretations to traditional choreography.

The ensemble has been performing traditional Belarusian dance, alongside modern routines, including the Krivichi: danced in a circle, around a fire. Lyanok is a modern embodiment of traditional round dance, while the Barbara duet explores the eternal mystery of relationships between men and women, and Lyavonikha features music by Yevgeny Glebov.

The troupe has travelled worldwide, to Asia and Africa, Europe and the Middle East, the USA and Latin America. In recent years, is has more than once performed in China, Italy, Lithuania, Armenia, Kazakhstan, North Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
