Chinese Sinomach Corporation to become shareholder of the Great Stone Industrial Park

This was reported by the Press Service of the Belarusian Government after Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister, Anatoly Tozik, met with the top executives of China’s CAMC Engineering Company. The Press Service quoted CAMCE Chair Luo Yan as saying that ‘shareholders on the Belarusian and Chinese sides have unequivocally decided in favour of allowing the major Chinese corporation Sinomach to become a shareholder in November 2014, while the charter capital of the joint venture will be greatly increased’.

Representatives at the meeting have also discussed other issues regarding the construction of the Great Stone Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. “We are getting down to the practical work on the Park,” said Luo Yan. “The expert evaluation of the designs for building networks and communications and the development of construction designs for the infrastructure are nearly over. Preparations in the construction site area have begun. Everything indicates that the project has started developing rapidly. We appreciate the attention to detail that the Belarusian Government, the State Council of China, and the leaders of both countries pay to the project.”

In turn, Mr. Tozik remarked that the creation of the Industrial Park is now moving faster and more effectively. “We are pleased that the Chinese side has initiated the increase in the charter capital of the joint venture. China’s largest corporation will transfer its contribution as a mark of its intent and that of China with regard to the project. We’ve felt that the process of the Industrial Park’s creation is now moving faster and more effectively,” announced the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus.
