Opportunities for expanding co-operation discussed between Visegrad Group and Belarus’ Foreign Ministry
Belarus’ Foreign Minister, Vladimir Makei, has met with a delegation of political directors from the foreign ministries of Visegrad Group member states, in Minsk.
It was the first such visit, with the delegation including the Political Director of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ľubomír Rehák, alongside the Political Director of the Foreign Ministry of Hungary, Levente Benkő, the Political Director of the Foreign Ministry of Poland, Jarosław Bratkiewicz, and the Political Director of the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic, Václav Bálek.
They shared views on the regional situation and on co-operative prospects between Belarus and the European Union, including Belarus’ participation in the Eastern Partnership initiative. They also discussed the possibility of expanding collaboration within the framework of the Visegrad Group and ways of promoting dialogue between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union.
