Representatives of tourism business have new initiative
Tourism industry representatives note that five-day tours to Belarus are becoming increasingly popular, include excursions to such sites as the castles of Mir and Nesvizh and Dudutki open-air folk museum: all sited near the capital. Travel agencies are ready to offer trips to Belarus’ regions but most foreign tourists prefer to stay in Minsk, taking a short drive out — of up to two hours. The new theme park would thus be located near Minsk, able to welcome a large number of guests. A good site may be the Museum of Belarusian Architecture and Rural Life, in the village of Ozertso (Strochitsy), where some infrastructure already exists. The complex is popular with tourists from many countries and the site could become one of the most popular in Belarus.
